Tamil Nadu Doctors Launch Clinically Referenced Gummy Supplements to Bridge Preventive Care Gap

Tamil Nadu doctors Dr. Hema Sathish and Dr. Sathish Devadoss have introduced Healthetc., a clinically referenced range of doctor-formulated gummy supplements developed to strengthen preventive healthcare through evidence-backed formulations tailored to Indian health needs.

India's preventive healthcare landscape has long focused on treating disease rather than addressing the gradual health decline that often precedes it. Seeking to change that approach, Tamil Nadu-based husband-and-wife medical team Dr. Hema Sathish and Dr. Sathish Devadoss have developed Healthetc., a nutraceutical brand offering a full range of doctor-formulated, clinically referenced gummy supplements designed to address specific health concerns commonly observed in their patients.

Dr. Hema Sathish, a cosmetic dermatologist educated at the University of Wales, and her husband Dr. Sathish Devadoss, an orthopaedic surgeon with degrees from Dundee University and specialised training in Oxford, Germany, Australia and other institutions, founded the brand after years of treating patients across multiple areas of everyday health. Dr. Sathish Devadoss also serves as the Vice President of Devadoss Multispeciality Hospital, a family-run 200-bedded hospital that has adopted advanced healthcare technologies, including robotic surgeries for orthopaedics and several other advanced procedures. The family's longstanding motto has been to provide quality healthcare at affordable prices, a philosophy that has earned widespread goodwill.

According to the founders, repeated patient consultations revealed a consistent pattern. Patients generally understood the lifestyle changes and nutritional support they required but struggled to maintain long-term consistency.

Those observations led to the creation of Healthetc., which is built around the belief that people are more likely to remain consistent with supplements they enjoy taking. The result is a range of sugar-free, vegan chewable gummies, beginning with six well-researched formulations, each developed for a specific evidence-backed health concern instead of making broad wellness claims.

The formulations are designed to support a range of everyday health needs, including skin, hair, bones, joints, hormones, sleep, metabolism and weight management, reflecting the areas where the founders frequently encountered recurring concerns during clinical practice.

Healthetc. states that it places significant emphasis on scientific validation. The company has registered its clinical studies, and every formulation is built using ingredients supported by documented research. The entire product range holds Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) approval and is vegan certified. Every production batch is accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (COA) to ensure that product contents match the label claims.

The company also follows uniform clean-label standards across its portfolio. Every product is sugar-free, vegan, gelatin-free, gluten-free, non-GMO and free from artificial colours. The brand does not position any of its products as quick-fix solutions.

Healthetc. has also focused on formulations tailored to Indian healthcare needs instead of adopting generic international wellness models. Its diabetic gummy relies primarily on Indian botanicals such as jamun, mulberry, fenugreek and amla, ingredients with centuries of traditional use, rather than depending on a single imported superfood ingredient. Similarly, its skin gummy is formulated to address pigmentation, pollution exposure and skin barrier damage caused by air conditioning, concerns identified as particularly relevant to Indian skin and urban environments.

Healthetc. operates under Wedjat Health Solutions Pvt. Ltd., founded by Dr. Hema Sathish and Dr. Sathish Devadoss. The group also includes Cureka, described as India's first preventive healthcare platform curated by doctors, offering doctor-recommended products across multiple categories.

Another group venture, TGHC, focuses on sensitive skincare through barrier-friendly formulations designed for skin types that do not tolerate aggressive, fragrance-heavy products. The skincare brand follows the same clinically driven philosophy applied by Healthetc., extending it to topical skincare.

At the centre of the group's healthcare ecosystem is Devadoss Multispeciality Hospitals, where Dr. Sathish Devadoss heads the orthopaedic department and Dr. Hema Sathish leads dermatology. The hospital provides services across more than 15 specialities and is equipped with advanced medical technologies, including robotic surgery. According to the company, the hospital's continuous exposure to real-world patient care plays a key role in shaping and refining future Healthetc. formulations.

What began as an effort to help patients remain consistent with their vitamin intake has evolved into a nationally distributed portfolio of six products supported by a broader healthcare ecosystem under Wedjat Health Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The founders maintain that India's preventive healthcare gap remains significant and often becomes visible only after conditions such as severe hot flashes, reduced bone density or elevated blood sugar levels emerge. Through Healthetc., they aim to address that gap with doctor-developed daily gummy supplements designed around real patient behaviour and long-term consistency.
